Hey Guys! It’s Jo here from Homecoming Mafia. You probably know me better as the Queen Bee, and if you haven’t guessed, I’m back again to give you all the tips that you need to prepare for your big homecoming night. So ladies, sparkle your tiara and shine those shoes, but never forget these tips to prepare for your homecoming either. They’re certainly just as crucial to achieving the best night of your life on what is supposed to be “the best night of your life”. Makes sense, right?
SET IT ALL OUT!
I truly can’t put enough emphasis on this tip when it comes to preparing for homecoming. After all, the day of homecoming is a hectic day! Not only is it absolutely stressful trying to get ready from top to bottom, but you is probably also wondering about your date, and if he’ll show, and what your corsage will look like and blah, blah… You know… typical girl things. The worries go on for days, and this is why I always say to set out all of your homecoming swag well before you start to get ready. I’m not just talking about opening your closet doors to reveal your cheap unique homecoming dresses. I’m talking about taking that beautiful gown out for display, but of course, keep it somewhere that it won’t get ruined! Dogs, cats, toddlers, food, crafts, everything should be kept away from that dress. You do not need it to get ruined prior to you even wearing it, so keep it on it’s hanger and put it out for display or lay it across your bed. Bring out those dazzling shoes, stunning jewelry, tiara and even your clutch. Set it all out for display. It’s just gratifying to have it all out there. It will totally keep you on your toes with your homecoming tasks and timeline.
HAIR SPRAY CRAZY!
Okay, maybe you shouldn’t try to look like one of the cast members of the musical, Hair Spray, but you should certainly use just as much product as they did. Here is the trick to the hair spray overload. Do not use a product that will stiffen your hair. Crunch is not class, and if you’re whipping your hair back and forth, only it’s not moving, it’s just super awkward and not adorable. Opt for hair products that will hold your hair style flawlessly, without making it feel like your hair has frozen in the moment. Just say no to crunch! Since your hair will be one of the first things that you do on homecoming day, you want to make sure it can withstand the rest of your homecoming day errands!
GET THE GIRLS!
The best thing about homecoming is getting ready with the people you adore the most. Of course, your family is totally awesome, but they’re not going to homecoming with you. Well, at least I hope not. Awkward! Gather your closest friends and make your memories begin well before walking down that red carpet. Plus, preparing for homecoming with the girls will totally help calm your nerves, and if you have a talented group of friends, they can totally help if a dilemma arises, such as a misplaced shoe, or stubborn strand of hair.
Now, of course there are tons of other things on your to do list for homecoming night, but these three things will take care of the most important; your happiness, your look, and your friends. I’m sure we can all agree that those three things combined add up to one fabulous night for homecoming, right? So for all you homecoming diva’s out there, sparkle and shine your way to stardom for the ultimate homecoming night. You deserve it!
